Life Continues During Your Dream State
Your dream state in fact is full of rich potential. You may be asleep but your consciousness is quite active - processing ideas and problems of the day and becoming aware of solutions and a higher way to view your life.
Since you spend about one third of your life asleep, consider the following three tips to make the most of your dreaming hours.
(1) Turn off the TV thirty minutes before bed. Use that time to clear your mind of personal concerns and judgments about the state of the world. You want to enter sleep in a neutral way, without worries or projections about what might happen tomorrow or next week. When you do this your sleep time can be more productive and you will awaken more refreshed and feeling lighter.
(2) Set your intention for sleep. Invite your higher wisdom to provide you with insights about life issues, yourself, and loved ones. Ask for a healing of troublesome issues. Intend that you will go to sleep easily and awaken easily too, full of energy and zest for life.
(3) Keep a pad of paper or journal with pen right next to your bed. Use it to record your sleep intentions and insights you receive after sleep. Keep in mind that insights and healing resulting from your dreaming hours may materialize in tangible ways over time. Keep your eyes open for them and invite an awareness of them, but let go of insisting that they appear immediately.
